Ivy pulling extravaganza!

The Friends in cooperation with the City of Federal Way, Washington State Parks, Rainier Audubon Society, and EarthCorps will be launching a city wide Earth Day event to rid the city's urban forests of English Ivy. English Ivy is a non-native invasive plant that kills native plant species, endangering forest health as well as wildlife habitat.

Come join us at one of these parks to pull English Ivy and restore native habitat and our urban forests' health:

We will provide tools and gloves. If you have hand pruners, loppers, and gloves of your own that you like to use please feel free to bring them with you.

Please dress appropriately for working outside and getting muddy.

Please RSVP which site you are planning on attending and how many people so that the proper amount of tools and snacks can be provided for each site.
