Come learn about a unique and creative way to manage storm water!

"Rain gardens work like a native forest by capturing and infiltrating stormwater from rooftops, driveways, and other hard surfaces. Rain gardens — reduce flooding by absorbing water from impervious surfaces; filter oil, grease and toxic materials before they can pollute streams, lakes and bays; help to recharge the aquifer by increasing the quantity of water that soaks into the ground; provide beneficial wildlife habitat." Stewardship Partners

Friends of the Hylebos in cooperation with Stewardship Partners and the City of Federal Way Storm Water Management are offering a free rain garden workshop to teach you how you can manage storm water by installing a rain garden at your own home or business.

Please RSVP to Lili Allala: lili@hylebos.org
