Ivy pull at Dumas Bay Park

Come and volunteer your time at one of Federal Way's most treasured parks! The park sits on the Puget Sound and is home to an abundant amount of wildlife species including a variety of birds great and small including the Great Blue Heron.

To encourage the presence of our native wildlife at Dumas Bay Park, Friends of the Hylebos will be working to remove invasive plant species such as English Ivy and blackberry.

Join us this Saturday from 9:30AM until 2PM to remove invasive English Ivy and restore out native habitat.

Please RSVP to Lili: lili@hylebos.org

A few things to remember:

In the interest of reducing waste please bring your own water bottle and mug for coffee/tea.

Please dress weather appropriately and wear clothing and shoes to get muddy and dirty in.

If you have a pair of gloves and a tool that you like to use at home please feel free to bring them. We typically use: hand pruners and loppers.

In the event that we should have to cancel the volunteer event, an update will be posted on the website and blog.
