Friends Offer Free Rain Garden Workshop

Friends of the Hylebos in cooperation with the Stewardship Partners and City of Federal Way's Surface Water Management Department are currently offering free training for the public on how to build a rain garden.

A rain garden mimics a natural forest in that it collects, absorbs and filters storm water runoff from roof tops, driveways, patios and other areas that don't allow water to be absorbed.

To learn more about rain garden installation at your home or business, come to our free rain garden workshop taught by a rain garden design expert! At the workshop you will receive a free rain garden manual and additional materials.

The workshop will be held Thursday August 26th from 6pm-8pm at Federal Way's City Hall in the Chamber Room.

Advanced registration is required! To RSVP please contact Lili Allala: lili@hylbeos.org
