July 1, 2009 presentation of $2,000 grant to Friends of the Hylebos from the Puget Sound Energy Foundation, Government and Community Relations Manager Gary Nomensen

The Puget Sound Energy Foundation recently awarded $2,000 to Friends of the Hylebos for our West Hylebos Wetlands Forest Health Project, which maintains and enhances the health of the 120-acre West Hylebos Wetlands forest through removal of invasive, non-native plants and underplanting of native trees & shrubs.

Gary Nomensen, PSE Check PresentationPSE Government and Community Relations Manager Gary Nomensen (seen here on the right, with Chris Carrel and Laurie Austin) dropped by the FOH offices in early July to present the foundation's check. We greatly appreciate PSE's support for the West Hylebos' forest and for Hylebos Conservation!
