Hylebos Preservation Projects

Description of recent habitat preservation projects

Most Hylebos Creek restoration projects also include an element of habitat preservation - where project proponents purchase a property in order to permanently protect it. Some projects are driven by preservation as the primary goal.

Since 1983, more than 390 acres of Hylebos Creek habitat has been preserved by the Friends and its partners. Between 2000 and 2007 alone, 145 acres have been preserved.
