Pacific Waterleaf

Hydrophylum tenuipes
This shade loving, perennial herb inhabits Northwest forested wetlands from low to middle elevations.

The tiny light green to lavender, star-burst flowers form clusters at the upper portion of the hairy stalks.  The very long pistils and stamens stick out of the flowers.

The large, usually hairy, coarsely toothed leaves are divided into five segments but occasionally up to nine segments.
